A bit more background info is indeed necessary:) I've been taking part in the critique programme for a few months and have got the exact same troubles for every version of the software. With the public releases the issues stayed. I have a friend with a MacBook Pro (same specifications as mentioned in OP) with the same problem, another friend performed a clear install óf SfB on án old MacBook Pro (10,1) and he also came across the exact same problems.
BTW We uninstalled Lync totally (all library files, logs, etc.) before setting up SfB. Our nearby IT support team provides a 2013 MacBook Air flow with macOS Siérra 10.12.1 with Skype for business 16.0.388 working on it, apart from stability issues, they can make voice/video phone calls.

Yesterday I ran a clear install of mac0S Sierra 10.12.1 on VMWare Fusion and a clean install of Skype for business 16.2.0.145, exact same issue. Any suggestions welcome.
